WOW.
I struggle really badly with IBS and this story is far to close to home for me. I’ve spent so many days in apts. and everyone says it’s something different.
How much did you test cost? I’d love to look into this asap.
Thanks- Sarah!
omg – how did you even know to ask about shingles?! I had my appendix taken out because of pain as well.
I wouldn’t even know to ask!
Wow – thank you for sharing. This is such an odd experience. I hope you are doing okay now.
xoxo, Sarah
Hi, I had a girlfriend who had a similar situation. She found a gyno who really helped her through Maiden Lane in NYC. I believe they did an internal ultrasound to look at her ovaries themselves. I think that getting lots of opinions is key for this. – Sarah

Can I ask about the pain in the back? What type of pain was it?

I can agree. My therapist and hairdresser say that this is the norm they are seeing across all boards right now. My therapist said that if you can do one thing to help with these swings is to allow them to happen and be real with them.
I love my therapist. She helps so much. I went to about three before figuring mine out. It might take some time but it’s worth it. Happy to chat more about it

I don’t have any experience but am looking for more advice as well. Following this thread to hopefully find some resources as well!
I used to be on lo lo estrin and I really liked it. But like you, I had no period as well. I will say the same thing that my anxiety wasn’t great while on this form. I barely could track myself. I went off of it due to endometriosis but I think if it’s working for you, do what’s best for your body.
Yes, so many times. Are you on birth control? And have they ever looked at the possibility of it being endometriosis? I used to get small cysts that would pop and years later, figured out it was endo.
I also recommend an internal ultrasound. Kind of painful but should be helpful with seeing what’s going on inside
OMG – how did they test it?? Maybe I should get tested for that too….I am always uncomfortable and I think I have a UTI always
Hey KH,
I’ve noticed definitely a change in my skin while on birth control. I didn’t have patches but I did have similar ache, discolored patches. I went to an endocrinologist who did a hormone panel and that seemed to have helped shed some light on what was going on internally.
