For the last several months, my sleep has been all over the place. I don’t necessarily have trouble falling asleep. Most nights I’m out within 15–20 minutes. The problem is staying asleep and actually waking up feeling rested.
I’ll go to bed around 11:00, fall asleep normally, and then wake up sometime around 2 or 3 AM. Sometimes I’m thirsty, sometimes I have no idea why I’m awake. Then I’ll lie there for what feels like an eternity, thinking about completely random things. The weird thing is that I’ve already tried the obvious stuff.
I stopped drinking coffee in the afternoon. I put my phone away before bed. I started keeping the bedroom cooler. I bought blackout curtains. I even tried reading an actual paper book instead of scrolling before sleep.
Some of those things helped a little, but nothing really changed the bigger picture.
Then I started paying more attention to hydration. At first, I honestly thought it was one of those internet wellness terms that sounds impressive but doesn’t actually mean much. But the more I read, the more curious I became. People seem to have very different opinions about it, especially when it comes to whether structured water can have any noticeable effect on things like hydration, relaxation, energy or sleep.
Has anyone here actually tried Somavedic or another structured-water approach specifically while trying to improve their sleep?
