I started getting calls from this law firm recently and wanted to see if anyone else has dealt with them. They left a few voicemails saying it was “urgent” and about a “legal matter” but wouldn’t give any details. When I finally called back, they were very pushy about a debt I didn’t even recognize.

I asked them to send me written verification of the debt, and they got pretty rude on the phone, saying things like they would “escalate” it if I didn’t pay immediately. It felt really intimidating. I made sure to get their address (I have one from their letterhead that says North Andover, MA, but online it seems they also have an address in Salem, NH) and kept a log of all the calls.

I didn’t agree to anything over the phone. From what I’ve read, you have rights under the FDCPA, and you can request that they stop calling you. I’m just not sure if this is a scare tactic or if they actually file lawsuits. Has anyone else had a similar experience with them? How did you handle it?https://consumerlawfirmcenter.com/richard-j-boudreau-associates-llc-calling/
