I’ve started to notice waves of strong emotional mood swings. I go from being my best at work to completely exhausted. I am constantly hungry and my period has never been heavier.

My mind feels more cloudy then ever. I think it might be time to go back to a therapist but still not sure if talk therapy is right for me.

Anyone else ever felt this way? Any recommendations would be so appreciated!

          Hi Kary,

How long has it been since you’ve gotten a vitamin/mineral bloodwork done? I had a lot of the same symptoms as well, and it turns out my b12 was just low. My neuro also recommended taking valerian root to ease the anxiety. Once I got my b12 back to normal, a lot of my mental health symptoms subsided, and I didn’t feel the need to try the valerian root.

Also — try the therapy! If it doesn’t feel right for you, you can always stop. But it’s always worth a shot. 🙂 I booked mine through headway.co to find reasonably priced care that worked with my insurance.

The symptoms you’re experiencing, such as emotional mood swings, exhaustion, increased hunger, and alterations in your menstrual cycle, may be caused by a number of different things. A medical expert should be consulted for an accurate assessment and diagnosis.

Greetings and welcome! Although I’d say you’re doing well, you might want to think about using spravato treatment if you have any severe depression or mood swings.

I can understand how you feel, I’ve had similar moments where my mood changes a lot and I feel very tired and heavy, and sometimes my nanny job also feels like a burden to me, but I noticed that when I start engaging with the kids more, playing with them, talking, or even going outside, it helps me feel more relaxed and a little lighter. Sometimes just talking or engaging with others really helps us relax. I’ve noticed that when I don’t keep everything inside and stay a bit more connected, my stress reduces and I feel calmer. It’s simple, but it really helps over time. And if you feel like it’s getting too much, it’s completely okay to seek help from a therapist. Sometimes professional support can give clarity and make things easier to handle.
