Harman Kardon amp cutting out when the car interior gets hot, anyone rewired or replaced theirs

My 2015 428i has the Harman Kardon system and for the last two summers it’s developed this really frustrating habit where the sound completely cuts out after the car’s been parked in direct sunlight for a few hours, no audio from any source, no parking sensors beeping, just silence until the cabin cools down again after about twenty minutes of driving with the AC blasting. I’ve narrowed it down to the amplifier in the boot because giving it a gentle tap sometimes brings it back, which I read on a few forums is a classic sign of the internal solder joints cracking from thermal stress and the heat here just makes it ten times worse. The dealership solution is a new amp which costs more than my first car did, and I’ve seen some companies online that offer repair services but you have to ship the unit to the UK or Germany and wait weeks. I’ve been to a BMW Garage here that suggested a used replacement but warned me the coding needs to match or the whole thing won’t talk to the head unit properly, so it’s not as simple as just grabbing one from a scrapyard. Anyone else had this issue and found a working fix locally, whether it was a repair, a used amp that actually coded correctly, or some alternate setup that sidesteps the factory amp entirely without turning the car into a wiring nightmare.
