<p class=”ds-markdown-paragraph”><span class=””>Took my 2019 Lexus NX300 in for its regular service last week and the advisor calls me saying the front brake pads are at 40 percent and recommends replacing them now along with resurfacing the rotors. I told him I’d think about it because something felt off. 40 percent isn’t exactly emergency territory from what I understand, and the car brakes perfectly fine with no squealing or vibration. When I asked how much, the number he threw out was honestly ridiculous for just pads. Now I’m wondering if this is just dealership upselling or if there’s some legit reason with Lexus specifically that I don’t know about. A few people told me independent shops are way more honest about this stuff so I started looking for the best Lexus service centre near Al Mamzar where I can get a second opinion without being pressured. I found 800sayara while browsing and noticed they handle regular maintenance too, not just repairs, which could work for me going forward. Anyone here know at what percentage brake pads actually need changing? I don’t want to be cheap and compromise safety but I also don’t want to get played.</span></p></div>
