      Hi all,

My husband 34M and I 34F have been trying to conceive for just over a year. And we’ve just found out that we’re going to have to do ICSI due to male factor infertility. For the most part, I’ve never wanted children — certainly not before I met my husband — I spent most of my 20s focused solely on my career — but after meeting my husband, we started to talk about children, and I realized that I wanted to have my heart and my life. But now that it’s really happening, now that I really know everything that’s going to take to have a baby, I’m overwhelmed and questioning whether or not it’s worth it.

The egg retrieval process worries me because I don’t do well with hormones—had to stop OCPs due to side effects—and I worry about how my body will handle the treatment. Plus, living in Texas, the lack of control over my body during the 9-month pregnancy scares me.

Has anyone else had doubts or fears before starting IVF? Also, if anyone has experience or recommendations for the best ivf centre in Punjab, I’d love to hear your insights.

Not in my case. However, some friends of mine have stopped their IVF treatments and decided not to have children at all. In my opinion, any decision is absolutely fine and deeply personal. The most important thing is to listen to your heart and be honest with yourself.
