So I went to my gyno today to get an IUD. She tried putting it in for about 10 minutes with no luck. I was in so much pain, but I was hoping I could just power through it so I could get it over with. But eventually I told her we had to stop.
Turns out I have a fibroid on my cervix which made it super painful and difficult to insert the IUD. So she referred me to another doctor who can use anesthesia to insert it without me having to suffer through excruciating pain.
Has anyone else gone through something similar? I’ve never been under anesthesia before so I’m not sure how it would work for a fairly quick IUD insertion.
