Why is menopause a mystery? I was not prepared or warned about effects of menopause. I found myself at work with a surprisingly unexpected heavy flow during my period. It would be so fast that I was caught off guard multiple times. I did not know you could bleed that much and still be okay. It would have been nice to know a few facts as I headed into that time In my life.
I still have hot flashes. Mostly at night. When I told my gynecologist about my hot flashes he simply said “try some peppermint oil.”
