Same number of people sleeping inside. I genuinely do not understand what the extra eighteen hundred buys and I do not want to be the guy who overpaid for a logo. Somebody explain the difference like I am skeptical, because I am.</span>

Fair skepticism, and honestly for someone camping once a year in good weather the big box tent is the correct purchase. The difference shows up in frequency and conditions. What the money buys: a frame that does not fail, fabric that handles multi day rain, standing height, and setup that takes minutes instead of an hour. Coody’s outdoor tents run $1,259-$2,599 with a 1-year warranty and US warehouse support. The real test is trips per year. At two trips, buy cheap. At ten, the cheap one falls apart in year two anyway and you have replaced it three times. Cost per night is the metric, not sticker price. Do that math honestly first. And if you land on the cheap end, that is a legitimate answer, not a failure.
